Please read these Terms of Service completely. Chisona Academy website is owned and managed by Achievers Within Educational Ltd. This Agreement/ document is the legally binding terms and conditions and policies to be used with the website at www.chisonaacademy.com
By using or accessing the site in any way, viewing, purchasing subjects, creating accounts or browsing the site, or adding your content to the site, you are agreeing to be bound by the following Terms of Service.
Referral
Accepting students into the online provision should be done using the referral form. The decision is made within 30 minutes of receiving a referral form. Complete referral form
Safeguarding

Whistleblowing
All employees have the right to raise a concern about working practices and other areas of concern and receive feedback on actions taken. Achievers Within Educational Ltd will seek to engender an ethical and open culture that establishes safe routes of communication without reprisal, and impartial and effective investigative procedures that respect confidentiality. Complaints procedure
All complaints are taken seriously. Please follow the complaints procedure to lodge any complaints. To ensure that complaints are effectively resolved, concerns must be reported immediately, or within one week of occurrence, and immediately in the case of a safeguarding concern (please follow the safeguarding policy document). Online use policy
All users of our website are strongly advised to adhere to our online use policies. All adult staff of Chisona Academy are DBS checked. Court/police clearance for adult staff outside of the United Kingdom. Click here to read more
Learning Videos
Tutor Assist learning videos are available for download immediately following a tutor lesson. This video is available for download for a maximum of 7 days, after which the video will be unavailable.
Webinars
Wellbeing webinars and any other webinars hosted by the academy are solely recorded for the private records of the academy and will not be shared with the client users/ attendees. Clients/ users’ recording of these webinars is strictly prohibited.
Social Media
Chisona Academy operates social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. We will seek the permission of the students/ parents before materials, achievement records, webinar extracts, and images including photo images are used on any of our social media handles. General Data and Intellectual Property
The organisation shall, so far as is reasonably practicable, comply with the Data Protection Principles contained in the Data Protection Act to ensure all data is fairly and lawfully processed. The website and all its original content are the sole property of Achievers Within Educational Ltd and are, as such, fully protected by the appropriate international copyright and other intellectual property rights laws. Chisona Academy has no control over, and therefore cannot assume responsibility for, the content or general practices of any of these third-party sites and/or services. Therefore, we strongly advise you to read the entire terms and conditions and privacy policy of any site that you visit because of following a link that is posted on our site.
Payment and refund
Payments for the purchase of curriculum subjects and tutor assist tokens can only be made using the prescribed mode of payment. Under no circumstance should payments be made into any academy staff’s bank account or any other third-party bank account. School/Business account users will pay by invoice.
Request for a refund for subjects purchased on our website should be done within 24 hours from when the purchase was made. Beyond this time, the refund will not be granted.
Non- Payments
Parents and school/business admins will be notified when accounts or subject subscriptions are due for renewal. Non-payments will limit account access and subsequently, student user access will also be limited.
Tutor Assist
Lesson request is initiated by the student learner and accepted by Chisona Academy tutors. One tutor assist token is equivalent to one 45-minute lesson session. Individual tutor-assist lessons will last a maximum of 45 minutes and 50 minutes in the case of school/ Business account holder sessions.
Students failing to attend scheduled tutor assist sessions will result in token deductions equivalent to the number of missed sessions. Missed sessions arising from the fault of the tutor, or website glitches will result in token refunds and rescheduled lessons.
Termination
In the event of a breach of policy, Achievers Within Educational Ltd reserves the right to terminate account access to the site, without any advance notice.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. However, the sister company ‘Chisona Academy Ltd’ is registered and incorporated in Nigeria. Issues arising from client/ account users within the WAEC/SSCE curriculum will be dealt with under the interpretation of the laws in Nigeria.
Changes to This Agreement
Achievers Within Educational Ltd reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We do so by posting and drawing attention to the updated terms on the Site. Your decision to continue to visit and make use of the Site after such changes have been made constitutes your formal acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
Therefore, we ask that you check and review this Agreement for such changes on an occasional basis. Should you not agree to any provision of this Agreement or any changes we make to this Agreement, we ask and advise that you do not use or continue to access the Chisona Academy site immediately.
